Review of Half Nelson (2006) by Santiago P — 31 Jan 2012
The most powerful drug you can find is self pity and abandon. Once it clicks, if nothing is done to properly stop their abuse, they will trigger a downward spiral that will take anything in its path. Melancholia, self destruction and chaos ensues as the real world filled with answers looks like another dimension.
People from reality that speak to us only come in waves. The end result is total destruction. All teach Dan Dunne wanted was to change one life, and he was wasted when he received notice of it. He might as well changed another while dropping bottom.
Drey possess all the inner strength teach seems to lack, but her road is long. With the much needed hope I always look at the end of any realism film, this awkward pair seem to have sorted out the last episode of their saga.
Until next time.
