Review of Half Nelson (2006) by Ian P — 20 Apr 2012
I had this film on a list of recommended "must sees" by multiple independents. I must say that, while Gosling once again pulls off a masterful performance this time as a drug-addled, inner-city school teacher, I felt like the film retained an vaguely absurd, preachy film school pretension that I could not shake.
Still, excellent film.
