Review of Half Nelson (2006) by Rachael Q — 26 Aug 2012
It's dark satire, bleakish approach was to much for me to handle. There's so much hate in this world, Ryan Gosslings character just added un-nessary pain and suffering towards himself and his lack luster students.
From reading what the movie was about and viewing it, I was expecting a lighter- hopeful storyline. Much like Freedom Writers or Dangerous minds. Half Nelson nothing like other student-teacher films.
