Review of Half Nelson (2006) by Katherine W — 25 Jan 2013

I found myself engrossed in this film of two very different people at very different times in their lives but find a common bond in that they both know they must right their ship. Ryan Gosling is wonderfully believable as a teacher who is dealing with many problems and finds drugs as his release.

He finds help in one of his students and the two realize they must get through their problems together. It's a good, uplifting, real story and shouldn't be written off based on it small notoriety.
