Review of Half Nelson (2006) by Kyle S — 15 May 2013
Gosling's Dunne is a great character who looks like it's all together on the surface, but behind the scenes he's spiralling into madness. Shareeka Epps is just as incredible as Drey, Dunne's student who has her own parallel set of problems.
Dunne despite his flaws is a good teacher and really wants to help these kids, that brings him and Drey together. This is a mesmerizing look at these two characters and their lives.
