Review of Hairspray (2007) by Eric T — 10 Jul 2012
When you first watch this movie, with no knowledge of the Broadway show or original John Waters cult classic, it feels a bit weird. But after further viewings of the film, you start to feel good about watching it.
It's a very enjoyable film that has very catchy songs, nice acting from popular actors, and it's definitely an example of how "Broadway to Movie" films can be done right, and I think "Hairspray" can be seen by many as the best example of it, next to "Chicago.
