Review of Hairspray (1988) by Lauri Ailane — 09 Jul 2008
This version is definately the best. The new movie musical version has nothing on the original. I thought this was one of the best casts put together. It is funny, entertaining and also highlights a very serious part in our history.
Intergrating people of both races on T.V.. Yet it still does not lose its humor. It is also wonderful to see a hefty girl get the goregeous guy. If you love the 60's you need to see this movie. It is a wonderful spoof on the whole big hair scene of that decade.
