Review of Hail, Caesar! (2016) by Tyler S — 23 Sep 2016

While I am a big fan of the Coen brothers works, this film didn't really do it for me. I get how their humor doesn't apply to everyone, but I was just expecting something different here. Really a hard movie to review in the sense the humor is so different. The cast is great, but somewhat misplaced. I thought some of the actors could of had more with their role. Bottom line here is it didn't keep me in tune with what was going on.

I was never truly drawn into this movie. I think comedies from the Coens are my least favorite works they do because the humor is not for me. Nothing exciting happened in this film, nothing of real substance happened to make me intrigued.

It's Coens though so I will give it stars on cleverness.
