Good fun. Full of lots of Old Hollywood homages, sly winks and nods and knowing humor. It's a movie I'm sure will be more appreciated on repeat viewings. As it is, it feels slight; not being overtly hilarious (The Big Lebowski) nor earnestly human (Raising Arizona) nor cuttingly satirical (Burn After Reading) enough to completely sell itself on its own merits.
The "Would that it were so simple" scene is an instant classic.
