Review of Hail, Caesar! (2016) by Moviemitch96 — 16 Feb 2016

I must admit that this was a very odd and uneven film. Despite promises from critics that film buffs such as myself and those familiar with Hollywood's golden age would enjoy this film, I really thought that it could've turned out a lot better.

Granted, there are some worthwhile performances from the A-list all-star cast, but even they weren't enough to make the film any better. And while the film was certainly meant to be a comedy and I did let out a chuckle or two, I found most of it to be very bland and straightforward.

Overall, this is just another sign to me that the Coen Bros. are more or less losing their touch.
