I guess I have to say something, because I'm baffled by all these negative reviews. It's like we watched different movies altogether.

For those looking for a quick statement, this is an excellently shot and consistently entertaining satirical love letter to the Golden Age of cinema. Highly recommended for fans of subtle humor and good cinematography.

Not your typical plot-driven narrative as there are quite a few small arcs darting about from start to finish, so I guess I can understand when some of these reviews are saying that "nothing happens". So I guess be warned that if you demand your movies stick to a singular plotline, you're probably not going to appreciate the vignette approach taken to the storytelling here. As for humor, I personally found it laugh-out-loud funny at a few points and generally witty and entertaining throughout. Honestly, you'd be better suited just watching it yourself to experience the quality of the writing.
