Review of Hail, Caesar! (2016) by Nelson B — 26 Mar 2016
There were a lot of things that didn't make sense about this movie but still I was thoroughly entertained. I liked it's ideas about Capitalism (Capitol Films) and Communism (the writers) and how both seemed to function. One seems to bully their way to success, the other seems to hardly get anything done at all other than socialize and debate about what's best for everyone's needs and interests.
Anyway. The more I thought about this film the more I liked it. Like all Coen Brothers movies, it just ends with a fart noise. Also to add, (maybe this would be answered in subsequent viewings) a friend mentioned to me about that Baird was an allegory for Christ?
