Review of Hail, Caesar! (2016) by Michael C — 27 Oct 2017

I have heard a lot of good things about "Hail, Caesar!" which is what prompted me to see it. However I have to say those nice things are not justified in my opinion. This is not a terrible movie by any means.

However I just found it boring and slow. It does have a few moments here and there. Scarlett Johansson's first appearance on screen delivered the most laughs of the entire movie. The costumes and sets are excellent.

Channing Tatum's dance number was extremely well choreographed and the most entertaining moment in this movie, Josh Brolin gives another great performance. However I kept asking myself as I was watching the movie "Where is this going?".

There are are some things to like about "Hail, Caesar!", but not enough for me to recommend the movie. Skip it. It's not worth your time.
