This is a movie that should win every Oscar at the Academy Awards, no doubt best picture. It won't because Hollywood isn't fond of Mel Gibson. Grading on the movie it is just a tremendous flic.
It is everything you want. Great acting, great story which by the way it is a true story. It brings you through all the emotions. Makes you proud to be an American. Makes you want to serve for your country.
This movie captures what the greatest generation went through. Think what you want of Mel Gibson, but he is a great story teller, movie director, and actor even though he isn't acting in this one.
Hacksaw Ridge is a complete masterpiece of a movie. Highly recommend.
