Powerful one of a kind war movie, this biopic covers the life of Desmond Doss a conscientious objectors, means he didn't hold a rifle, he didn't kill anyone and was still awarded the highest medal for valor.
It's a wonder that Hollywood didn't picturize his miracle of a story sooner. In the hands of Mel Gibson it's an emotionally charged masterpiece. The battle scenes are among the goriest I have come across but what stood out for me was the faith and conviction of Dess even when he was ostracized for his beliefs.
