If I didn't have the knowledge of the movie being a "true story" then it would be a pretty unbelievable story. Mel Gibson's grandiose directing is at full blast and gets annoying at times, along with the cliche war movie characters and lines.
This is a pretty great story however, and the action is tense, brutal and well executed.
