Outstanding movie... Andrew Garfield role as Desmond Ross is heroic.. He saved Seventy-Five wounded or severely men.. while only Thirty-two climbed down.. Desmond was able to avoid being shot while Japanese soldiers were after him with a knife attached .

. He was able to hide under a dead body & stay still. He covered solder's face with dirty & one eye uncovered.. He worked in the dark . He even helped a Japanese soldier apply pressure to his wound and inject morphine to save him.

. The Japanese brought the white flag to surrender. There was some Japanese still shooting.. A Japanese soldier had a golden yellow knife,, took his shirt off to stab & kill himself while another Japanese decapitated his head.
