Review of Hacksaw Ridge (2016) by Matthew D — 14 Apr 2018
Hacksaw Ridge may be tonally inconsistent at times, occasionally switching from horrifyingly brutal scenes of gory war violence to some corny instances and lines; but Mel Gibson directs this film beautifully and creates a sympathetic hero you can't help but root for through this amazing true story! And as for the lead, Andrew Garfield knocks this one out of the park!
