Review of Hacksaw Ridge (2016) by Levigalaio — 05 Dec 2016

Very solid movie, haven't seen one quite like this in a long time. Loved how realistic the depiction of war was, and how historically accurate the movie tried to be. The only downside I found was the ending, it felt a bit rushed, it was literally a montage of the americans rushing through the jap's camp as if it was the easiest thing in the world, and all the deaths and destruction in the 2 and a half hours prior to that were useless.

.. But even that is justified, the story that needed to be told was told, so yeah...
