Review of Hacksaw Ridge (2016) by Andrew N — 07 Feb 2017
One of the better war movies I have seen in a long time. Drags a little bit in the first act but once the battles begin it does not let up. Some of the most brutal war scenes since saving Private Ryan.
All the performances were really good with Andrew Garfield being the stand out, his best performance ever. My biggest compliment I can give this movie is that it never gets to heavy handed with its message.
it is actually pretty inspiring and Mel Gibson has definitely proven he still knows how to make a great movie.
