Hacksaw Ridge is one of the best war movies I've seen, on the scale of Saving Private Ryan.
There are intense scenes of war violence, it's the only way the brutality of war can be shown, but it adds to the raw bravery that was shown, a feat unmatched perhaps in any war. And since the hero, and others were still alive, I would think the movie was a fairly accurate portrayal of what actually happened.
What this man did, to save his fellow soldiers, had me tearing up.
This is the type of movie that will make you wish for world peace and appreciate the sacrifices of those who protect us.
