Review of Hackers (1995) by Andrew L — 06 Dec 2010

I think this movie was probably dated even when it was released. Plus, it had to have already seemed unrealistic at the time of inception, or at least finished screenplay. But, it was made, and we all suffer. I think the only reason most people watch this movie is because of early Jolie. I had seen the beginning of this movie over 10 years ago, and just decided to finish it.

It has a couple of nice visual gags and a bit of creative staging and editing, but nothing at all of substance and a troubling disregard for reality. It's painful to watch unless you're just watching for eye candy. But I'm not one of those enamored with her.
