Review of Hachi: A Dog's Tale (2009) by Arianna B — 19 Mar 2011
An incredible sad and lovely story. Knowing the japanese tale, I was convinced the movie would have been set in Tokyo, but I was surprised that they connected the dog race in such elegant way to some town in USA.
Nevertheless, the dog should have been winning some prize because what he was doing on the scene was just amazing! Richard Gere was surely not giving any special performance, but it didn't really matter, since there was the dog!
A bit slow in certain points...maybe on purpose, to give the chance to drop a tear or two in the meanwhile!
