I stumbled across this movie looking for a g-rated movie to show my summer class. Hachi: A Dogs Tale is a true story about the bond between a man and a dog. Richard Gere finds Hachi at the train station and takes him home.
He ends up keeping the dog. Everyday Gere commutes by train to work. Hachi walks with him to the station and is there at 5 to meet him when he comes home. From there the story takes a sad turn. Hachi is a touching story about loyalty and friendship.
This is a good family film that kids and parents should enjoy.
