Review of Hachi: A Dog's Tale (2009) by Miko B — 29 Jul 2012
Before I say anything, I just want to say that this film may cause you to buy a dog, This is one of those rare pet films that perfectly manages to show the true nature of the relationship of a man and a dog.
The film is based on the true story of Hachiko, a dog in Japan who waited years in the train station for his owner who died. The film is truly heartwarming and gives you a reason to get a dog (although I'm not saying you should).
The film also manages to capture the emotional spectrum of that true story. Overall this heartwarmin tale of a man and a dog will make you laugh, cry but most importantly treasure the bond you share with those you love especially those who have dogs.
