Review of Guys and Dolls (1955) by Gwenllian L — 17 Aug 2008
Good for when in a musical kind of mood, it's great seeing not only Sinatra, but Brando in this romp about guys and dolls, gangsters and gamblers. I don't think Brando's ever been quite so lighthearted and untwistedly romantic, but it works here and he sounds decent enough.
And Stubby Kaye's "Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat" is just terrific.
