Review of Guys and Dolls (1955) by Kim C — 07 Aug 2010
Some old movies drag on, are full of pointless scenes and sometimes irritating songs. Not so with this one!! Engaging and interesting from the beginning, with excellent dialogue and catchy songs (tho Marlon's/Sky's voice is not-so-great, it's decent).
The ending was a bit disappointing for two small reasons: No reconciliation scene between Sky and Sarah (it jumped from her realization to the wedding), and she didn't even wear a wedding dress! Otherwise it was very cute, pretty amusing and one to own and watch again.
