Review of Guys and Dolls (1955) by Mark W — 19 May 2011
I think I would have really enjoyed this as a stage show, but as a film it didn't quite get me in. Except for "Sit Down You're Rockin' the Boat", I don't really rate the music.
Other than the undergound craps scene I wasn't particularly taken by the Choreography, and I don't think this was Marlon Brando's schtick. He did darker, tougher roles much better. Jean Simmons was great.
Must watch more of this girl.
