Review of Gutshot Straight (2014) by Leon B — 15 Dec 2014
George Eads is a charmer in this movie, except at the very end when he essentially deserts his daughter. Like the rest of the movie, it made no sense. The characters are little more than cartoons, and uninteresting cartoons at that.
In fact, calling them cartoons is giving them more credit than they deserve. Don't even get me started on the gratuitous, over-long shots of strippers' bodies, etc. Pathetic and horrible. I don't often write reviews, but was motivated in this case in the hopes of saving others from wasting their time on this movie.
Seriously, don't do it. Even if you are willing to put up with a bad movie just to watch some martial arts fights (as I often am), you can forget about that too. There's not even a hint of Aikido in here.
Steven Segal is such a joke these days. So sad.
