Review of Guns Akimbo (2020) by Afm185 — 20 Apr 2021
About as good as I was hoping it would be. Pretty damn entertaining. The story is just fun, and it’s pulled off well. My only real problems are the writing just is not good, and the characters are decent at best.
Although I did like the main character Miles. Strongest part of the movie is the action by a significant degree. It’s not incredible but it’s about what I thought it would be (slightly more grotesque maybe).
There isn’t a whole lot to say since it’s not deep by any means. Some cool stylistic choices like showing how many bullets Miles has left, I enjoyed the moments where he’s gotta deal with the guns being attached to his hands, since he wouldn’t use them otherwise.
