Review of Gunless (2010) by Skyler I — 27 Jun 2011
This film stars Paul Gross and Sienna Guillory in a Western/Comedy Hybrid set in Canada, so I knew right away I was going to like enjoy it, but it turns out that there's more to this movie than meets the eye.
It's actually quite a charming film that possesses a lot of heart and enough character and emotional depth to keep the story feeling fresh. LIke any Western there are genre cliches at work here, but they're served up with such originality that you're likely to either not notice them or just forgive them, which is a compliment.
This film is charming, funny, and very good, even if it does feature songs performed by Blue Rodeo.
