The gunfight was good but the rest of the movie plodded along at a snail's pace... the movie focuses mainly on the relationship between doc holliday (douglas) and wyatt earp (lancaster) rather than the more "political" aspects of the story - theft, lawlessness vs.
enforcement of law and order.
