Review of Gummo (1997) by Uros T — 20 Apr 2008

I read a lot of critics saying how this is one of the worst movies ever made but I have to disagree. Yes, it barely has any plot but Harmony Korine didn't make this movie to satisfy rich white people but rather to show a real white trash in Ohio.

Every scene is another piece of art and even though some of them were disturbing they still represent a high level of originality and most of them are highly metaphorical. On my list of the weirdest movies Gummo takes no.

1 spot hands down.
