Review of Gummo (1997) by Jennie M — 28 Sep 2012
This is not everyone. Definitely not for cat-lovers. There's no plot and no coherence. It could easily turn into vile pretentiousness if it wasn't for the dozen or so unforgettable scenes involving the many faces of the human condition.
Gummo is by turn laugh-out-funny, sad, and scary. Like one critic pointed out "directors have been hailed as visionaries for less." Unforgettable.
