Review of Gummo (1997) by Abe F — 27 Mar 2013
Not as challenging as it has been made out to be but there really isn't too much here. The vignettes themselves are interesting but the movie makes no attempt to stretch beyond their bounds. That being said, there is enough here to warrant Harmony Korine as a worthwhile film-maker and I eagerly await Spring Breakers.
