Quite possibly one of the most HATED movies of all time. I hate to say it, but seriously, you people just DON'T GET IT. You really don't. There is absolutely nothing like this movie. You can make fun of rednecks etc etc - but this really captures a whole innovative alternate dimension beyond that.
The use of random local people met at gas stations and fast food restaurants mixed with slightly "more professional" actors and actresses gives the film an atmosphere more awkward than imaginable.
It couldn't be more perfect. You will see things in this movie you never would have even thought about through your entire life if it weren't for Gummo. It doesn't get much more creative than this, honestly.
A modern masterpiece.
