Review of Gulliver's Travels (2010) by Rabeka D — 19 May 2011
I liked the story line much better than the crazy lunatic Ted played in the 1996 version but I didn't like the elaborate tales he told them...though they wrapped it up with trust issues after caught in lies.
..another note...the king in the 1996 tried too hard to be funny I thought...and this version they brought the king of comedy himself and striped him of his pure capabilities of comedy relief but still was a great.
..I really enjoyed the fire put out scene in this one...way better than Ted's attempt Ted mist suffer from prostate or bladder problems in comparison in streams compared to Jack's lmao! I really don't know why so many flopped it.
..maybe they expected more from the tightly restricted comedic actors of many...it had a twist to other versions and was I think better story line seriously I don't see their reasoning behind the hatred.
..graphics were awesome though Jack Black did lack the realization we see on the big screen...just a little bit and some of the lil people lack the realization we see of Gulliver...maybe that's why people booed it so harshly.
..I still enjoyed it five stars...
