Review of Gulliver's Travels (2010) by Rob P — 27 May 2011
Jack Black is every bit as adorable as always in this movie, but other than that, this is just okay. It's super cheesy, which I suppose is to be expected, but it's also a bit too crude sometimes to be wholly appropriate for the young audience the rest of it seems to be aimed at.
It comes across as a bit awkward and unsure of who it's actually playing to, and it didn't sit all that well with me. There's potential, it's just not really carried through and it's not as funny as the trailers make it out to be.
