I thought it was a great reimagination of an old fairytale with an added modern spin. Credit to Jack Black with another hilarious role and a story which has no musicial aspect, yet he still pulls off some killer guitar moves and songs.
Good cameo from Jason Segel and Emily Blunt (aka Katy Perry's twin in another life) was hooootttt!
