Review of Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967) by Steve W — 03 Feb 2015
An important film because of the times, but it still mostly holds up due to its powerful message. Despite a few uneasy time limits with the plane leaving and the one day ultimatum, this commentary fueled comedy has that emotional core near the end with the two heated arguments.
I don't feel that Hepburn deserved the Oscar, but regardless all of the performances are excellent. This is definitely one of those love it or hate it movies, but it still carries an important message.
