Review of Guess Who (2005) by Serinity F — 12 Apr 2011
This sort of remake of 1967's Guess Who's Coming To Dinner, which starred Sidney Poitier, Spencer Tracy and Kate Hepburn in an Oscar-winning performance (as well as Tracy and Hepburn's final screen teaming), is nothing to get too excited about.
It's mostly a crock, with the only saving grace being star Bernie Mac as the hard-nose father whose daughter (Zoe Saldana) is seeing a white boy (Ashton Kutcher). Mac is great in his scenes with Kutcher, making Guess Who almost, ALMOST, bearable.
