Review of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023) by Dubeau — 06 May 2023

GOG Vol 3 is a good conclusion for those characters. The story is maybe a mess, in the sens that it tries to close all the questions of the last movie. It's a bit overcrowded but it is strangely balanced.

The flashback works very well here with the Rocket story. That focus on him, ties the rest in term of cohesion. I didn't like the lack of realism with the ending for Starlord, and the bad/sad after credits.

The villain was convincing and solid. The FX are really good but those with Warlock in general felt, not that convincing. Great music. Great sounds. I give it 75%. Not the best for sure, but a good way to resolve everything.

Vol 3 certainly opens the doors for individual spin offs, more then a straight follow up.
