Review of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) by Mark F — 16 Oct 2017

I love, love, love so many aspects of Guardians of the Galaxy. I love the characters, I love how hilarious their dialogue is, I love how much fun they're having, I love how it's set to awesome vintage music. It's just so good. The writing in particular is amazing.

Why the missing star then? Because the first instalment showed that as good as this is, it can be done slightly better still. The music is better in the first, the plot is better in the first, the jokes were a little bit more crass in this one which is always the sign that the wit isn't coming as easily to the writers as it once did.

So overall, it's awesome, and funny, and witty, and loveable and all those good things. But it's just slightly less so in some parts when compared to Vol.1.
