Review of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) by Josh M — 28 May 2018
There are only two ways Guardians Volume 2 beats out the original film as a whole: it's more goofy, and had a far bigger budget. Outside of that it was nothing more than a cash -grab for hardcore Marvel fans. Definitely wouldn't recommend it to very many people as their next Blu-ray\DVD purchase.
My grade for the film: nothing more than a C+.
Final Note: this movie is perhaps one of the worst, and certainly most unnecessary of the rapidly expanding boundaries of Marvel's massively successful Cinematic Universe. Extremely surprised that it has achieved as much acclaim as it has.
