Review of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) by Loveeland — 04 May 2017

I'm giving it a 5 because it was entertaining for the most part. Plenty of humor, and some fun characters. However, the movie suffered from the problems that plague other Marvel movies. It had over the top plots, sloppy storytelling, and really corny moments in it.

It reminded me of some of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies in how there was a lot of side flipping amongst other characters between friend and foe, and oftentimes it wasn't very well reasoned. The whole plot was a bit ridiculous (you'll have to see it to know what I'm talking about).

Of course this movie incorporates the same corny lines and dialogue as every other marvel movie, and even takes it further than most in my opinion. Fortunately they did not overdo the Baby Groot thing.

I would recommend seeing it because it is entertaining, but don't expect a great story or a very interesting plot. Expect a funny, action packed movie with corny one liners and forced moments.
