Review of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) by Riley R — 10 May 2017

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 lives up to the original while finding it's own footing and identity. This leaves it feeling like a true, lively adventure which does its own thing, while still being tied to the events of the last movie which resonate throughout without being a central theme.

The acting is great and the character development is tangible, even if it's a touch weaker than it's predecessor. Overall, this movie certainly has its place in my list of movies which did a sequel right.
