I had very high hopes coming into this movie. Afterwards I was disappointed. The movie was still entertaining but it felt very "fake." The jokes were not funny or original. I can't help to feel that the jokes were forced.

The first movie was funny because it was natural and unexpected. The blasé story did not help forward the story other than to give nearly every character more background. The problem with that is that they it was rushed due to the choice to allowing a majority if the characters face time.

The most painful part if the movie was Drax. There is a big turn around of his character in that he is the comic relief. All the jokes and laughs concerning him was hard to watch or even believe as a part if his character.

Baby Groot also had many screen despite the fact that the character had no advancement in story. He served as a fan service and sell Baby Groot merchandise. The best thing in this movie was Yondu and his relationship with Quill.

I wish they would have explored that relationship more instead of cramming a bunch of relationships in one movie. It would have been nice to know that there was more faith in the franchise that it has more chances to tell the other peoples story.

Still, not the best movie but enough entertainment to enjoy the movie. Not for the laughs, but the action and the very well written part of Yondu and Quill.
