Guardians of the Galaxy #Vol2 Non-Spoiler Review:

Let's be honest: you can't repeat a big surprise. With Vol 1 being a massive surprise hit for Marvel Studios and the Guardians reputation to withhold, Vol 2 had every reason against it, to fail. I am happy to report as a big Marvel Cinematic Universe fan, Marvel have nailed it again.

In a nutshell it's spectacularly fun. I literally smiled and laughed out loud from start to finish. The sequel returns with true comedy that makes it funnier than it's predecessor, and it's not repeated comedy skits that we watched before, it's fresh comedy which is a credit to the script writers.

When it takes a step away from the comedy, you start to realise they haven't sat back on the sequel. It takes some guts to pause all action and concentrate on no less than three slow character building scenes in the middle of the film. It turns out that's working great for the characters and is one of the main reasons why the final act works fantastically.

Now, onto my favourite part of Guardian's of the Galaxy - the soundtrack. In real life, Peterâ??s Awesome Mix Vol 1 became a best-selling soundtrack, becoming the first soundtrack album in history consisting entirely of previously released songs to top the chart. Vol 2 does not disappoint with new added songs from artists such as Electric Light Orchestra, Fleetwood Mac, George Harrison and many more. I've been listening to the soundtrack all morning, and like the Vol 1, I can't get enough of it.

In conclusion, Vol 2 was just as great, just as funny, just as epic than the first one. I won't lie, I saw flaws, the plot being the biggest flaw. However; James Gunn has done more than enough to have this film standing tall alongside it's predecessor and all of its brothers and sisters in the universe. You Marvel nerds out there, like me, will love it.
