Review of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) by Hrant B — 06 May 2018

I usually love sci-fi and enjoy many marvel movies, but I could not get passed the first 40 minutes of this nonsense! The first GOTG was not great in my opinion but it was at least watchable. This movie is purely a space comedy, but most jokes are awkward and fall flat.

They also remove all tension from the narrative. The characters are super hollow and barely likable, exposition is awkward. Sure, visuals and fx are great, but that does not save a bad script. Reminded me of the Hitch Hiker's guide to the galaxy (film version) that I couldn't finish either.

I felt embarrassed for the actors, trying their best to give life to corny and lifeless lines.I am utterly baffled by the high reviews.
