Review of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) by Dave J — 28 May 2017
A threat not nearly as large nor a plot as detailed at the first movie, this still stands on its own through its humor and characters. Upon first viewing, its even funnier than the first. It possibly tries too hard at times for jokes, but the remaining humor out weighs the so so stuff.
Some new characters bring a nice blend to the group (thankfully they did not overuse the toyish Groot in every scene). Opening credits are classic. A effective, funny, colorful space adventure that adds some (but not a lot) of depth to the group.
